Features Reviews
KODAK's new Black & White + 400 Film utilizes a color film chemical process. This means you can enjoy the elegance and emotion of black and white with the ease, speed, and consistency of color negative film and processing. And, because this is an ISO-400 film, you'll find that it is an excellent choice when shooting in low-light situations or when extending the range of a flash (when compared to ISO-100 films, the ISO-400 will double the effective flash range). Now Black & White film processing and printing is available anyplace that develops color film.

Comments about Kodak 35mm B/W Print (CN) 135-24 400-ISO Film (C-41 Proccess):

The good thing about this film is that I can use the negs in my b/w enlarger. The prints from the machines have a nice sepia tone to them, plus I get the action shots from the 400 speed. It's an all-around good film that takes the burden off of me of having to develop the film to see what comes out. Shoot a roll, take it to the store, and I can enlarge what I want to.

Comments about Kodak 35mm B/W Print (CN) 135-24 400-ISO Film (C-41 Proccess):

Okay, the concept behind this film is great (considering I don't have access to a darkroom all the time) but it isn't as good as real black and white. The blacks aren't true black, and the white's aren't pure white. It's all shades of gray, no contrast. Also, the sharpness could be better.

The upside (for me at least) is I'm big on abstract photography, and this film is great for that because of the wishy-washy qualities. It makes it look as little worn and more artsy, but I wouldn't recommend it for a professional shoot.
