The GSD 20 is a remote, black-box sounder that transmits 500 watts at 50/200kHz. It's designed specifically for use with the GPSMAP 182, 232, 2006 and GPSMAP 2010 series units (including color versions) and the to provide SONAR capabilities to these units. The sounder module sends data serially in a Garmin proprietary format to up to two units on board. When viewed on Garmin chartplotters, you'll see full-featured sounder displays in either split- or full-screen presentations. Installation consists of a simple power/data connection along with the connection of a Garmin transducer. The GSD-20 Includes free software updates that will allow you to update the software in compatible Chartplotters without contacting Garmin! 30' power/data cord included.
