I'd previously owned several Kensington trakball models. They were expensive and needed periodic cleaning to work well.
And they took up more room in my limited work space.

I have bought much more expensive trackballs from other manufacturers including Logitech, and this one is the best I have ever used. Again, I agree that they should add a scroll wheel to the product, and that would make it more perfect than it already is!

It's great to use with my laptop.
When sitting in a chair, using the mousepad is very uncomfortable. using the trackball is much more comfortable and natural, and saves on the wrist. The large size is not very portable, so a smaller version would be nice.

I've bought three of these as gifts for relatives that were really impressed with how easy it was to use. My house has six computer equiped with these track balls or the wireless version. And every family gathering One or more of my family is throwing out there wireless mouse and getting a trackball. I use it for everything from AutoCAD, and Photoshop to the internet and Microsoft XL.

A great mouse for the money, however, it is nearly impossible to play first person shooters with it. Another problem I've had is the lack of a scroll.

For architects and other CAD users, this is the most comfortable and precise way to input data. No other track ball is as comfortable and as durable.

If it will also work with MAC Pro laptops, it is darn near perfect.
