Great lens. You won't need any others because of the range this one provides. Metal construction, very well made although not made in Japan. Thailand? Whatever.

I received this lens as a gift when it first came out on the market after I researched and requested this specific product. I photographed everything from action wildlife to distant scenery children and weddings as well as garden photography. If you're only going to buy one lens this is it. The only time I wish I had a 300mm lens is in the photography of small birdlife at a distant range. At this point I'm considering an upgrade to my camera body and will definately use this lens on it.
