The camera is great for it's size and price. Buttons are user friendly and they are so few older folks can use them. At 5' tall and to take a picture of Shaq the flash did not do justice; but hey, it's for fun use at the beach. I would definitely recommend a 16G memory card. This will help you avoid getting water and dust having to change memory cards during a trip.
